Angus
Tobin
(NSWIS Emerging Athlete and NSW State Team Member)
I am 14 turning 15 in June, and have been racing since the age of
9 on both road and track. I am currently in the NSWIS Emerging Athlete
Programme and have finally started to develop, making the state
team this year to go to nationals next month.
During the 6 years I've been riding I have learned to love the sport
and hope to ride in the Tour de France and win some 1 day classics
in a pro team someday. Until then my short term goals are to make
the state teams in under 17's, ride the Junior road worlds in U19's
and in doing so make NSWIS and then hopefully make the AIS.
School work is going well. I'm in all the extended classes in year
9 at James Sheahan Catholic High School at Orange. Teachers have
been OK and are letting me ride this coming winter season during
school time on Thursday's. This will help with the road km for training
this year.
